Hallmark was Right

I get lost in the greeting card isle every now and then. I go in for 1 card and rarely leave without 4or 5 in my hand. I am glad to live in a time where greeting cards are so fun and diverse. There are e-cards, 3D cards, sparkly cards, sounds cards, plain cards, theme cards, colorful cards. Cards, cards, and more cards. It is a wonder to behold. I would love to write greeting cards. Sadly, I only have bursts of creativity and don’t think I could sustain the needed hilarity necessary to earn a living.

I have received many great cards over the years. I’ve got some friends who are masters of the greeting card find. There is not room to include them all here – but I have included a few that were grand enough to make it to the walls of my cubicle in hopes of brightening an otherwise hopeless canvas wall space.

Inside: Birthday or not, don't go with Paco

Inside: Don't disappoint Paco. Dance!
It seems apparent from card 1 and card 2 that card 1 is from Paco after many years on the road. Young Paco just wanted to dance, older Paco ... well remember Elvis? Nuff said.

Inside: I'll see you when I see you I AM COYOTE

I have spent some time trying to figure out which of the heroines I get to be. I was going to go with the one without the cape - because we all know how dangerous those are! Choking Hazard! But both of them have capes. So I think I'm the girl with the full leotard - because really how many women can truly rock the Wonder Woman bathing suit and not be concious of their thighs!

  1. No way. I get the leotard. And besides, you know you want the red boots. :-)

  2. I would like to have that talent - of finding great cards -- like Aunt Kerri has, but I don't have the patience to go thru the whole store looking. Maybe patience is one of the requirements for good cards :)

  3. Paco must dance is a card my wife and I roared over in the card aisle, people were staring.
    We did not care.
    It is a great card!

  4. I found the "Paco must dance" card and gave it to my sister today for her birthday. (She is an expert at finding funny cards so it was a real coup for me.) We roared too! Here's the trick: I regularly browse the card aisle. Anytime I find a great card, I buy it. I have a pile of them - ready for any occasion. Never wait until the last minute to buy one.

  5. Wow, I actually found a post about the Paco dancing card. I'm feeling so sad. I got hysterical like you other fine folks when I saw it in the store, and knew I was taking a chance giving it to my brother, and I was right. He looked at it, didn't laugh (smiled), and said "Okaaaaayyyyy". Once again I was left feeling foolish and very alone. I used to have many friends who got my sense of humor and would have loved this card, but I moved away from them and the only people I have near me are my brother and his wife, and they don't get my sense of humor at all. I feel diminished. But it's nice to see that I'm not the only one who loved this card. :)

  6. How can I order any obfuscate the Pavo cards. Is there an item number that can be used? I adore the two Paco trapeze cards and just saw the younger dancer, which is also funny.
